i heard people say ktune shifter will fit a b series because they are both cable style transmissions. but what about any cable style transmission? like a ford focus zx3 for example. aftermarket shifters for the focus are trash. it looks like zx3 cables should fit right on. just wondering if im missing somthing. im not a ford guybut i just acquired a pearly rust free 68k 2002 zx3 it is a 5 speed. are there any 5 speed options? 1-5 should be fine. but would 6 work as reverse? and reverse destroy forks? maybe not such a good idea. maybe a focus forum would suggest better shifters and options for me. the ktuned rsx billet shifter is my favorite for many reasons tho. from my research, price,adjustable durable, you can always set it how you want it. would be super nice and unique but i never felt one maybe the ktuned shifter is too race orientated for the zx3? its a smooth shifting great car so i can really feel that plastic janky shifter holding it back. thanks for any info on the ktuned

Did the SVT Focus have a different shifter than the ZX3?

svt focus has different tranny it is a getrag, 6 speed shifter, but the shift box is still just a cheap plastic loose broken pos, way worse then i seen literally made in china. my friend went threw 2 svt's after fixing everything twice. and all the ford after market replacements are **** for the focus and like 2000$ they have some decent ones for the mustang. he actually has a svt focus right now could use one i will ask him to look into it they have same gear pattern
