Default 15" Rota wheels with bigger brakes...

Hey guys, firstly this isn't for a Honda/Acura, it's for an S13 Nissan 240sx Chump/LeMons race car running Z32 (1990-1996) 300zx TT brakes. But, because 15" Rota wheels are much more popular in the Honda crowd I thought there would be more experience with this sizing and larger brakes than the Nissan community.

I'm looking to run 15x8 5x114.3 (5-lug conversion on the S13) wheels on the 240 instead of the 16x7.5 OEM Z32 300zx wheels for a number reasons (1" lower to ground, better gearing, 7lbs lighter per corner, cheaper & more tires, etc...). Wheel selection isn't the best in this configuration so I've narrowed it down to two Rotas:

15x8 +20 concave Rota Grids: http://www.ebay.com/itm/301109392142?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
or 15x8 +40 Rota Slipstreams: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291100124204?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I'm trying to avoid running spacers ("value adders" in ChumpCar). So between the two, which are known to be more big caliper friendly? The Grid spokes jut out almost immediately from the hub so I'm leaning toward them, but that's just an assumption. Maybe the Slipstreams flatter face is better, but the offset worries me.

Just so you think I'm not nuts, here's an OEM 15x6 +40 S13 alloy wheel on "26mm" Z32 brakes:

Thanks for any help.
