CRV EX 2003 Throws P1166 code
From what I can find this indicates replacing the Air /Fuel Sensor which is the front sensor on the cat converter. Car has about 116K
The part I came up with is a Denso 234-9005
The original part is a 192400-1101 Denso
Should I just replace it or is there something I should check before doing so.
The part is not cheap, is there any other sensor that work as well for less $$$?
Thanks!

Re: CRV EX 2003 Throws P1166 code
Thanks For the info....
Thought I'd post some info to benifit other with the same problem.
The fix was to replace the front sensor with a Denso 234-9005 which is identical to the one I removed (has holes in it) See first photo.
I purchased the part from Amazon for $145.00 (Quick Ship Auto Parts) and it was certainly shipped quickly!
When I originally Goggled the code I came across a post which lead me to a very low cost provider of a "UNIVERSAL" Denso sensor from Ebay that was suppose to work in the front and rear positions.
It does not work in the front position and it will give you a code P1158 when installed.
I'm told it will work in the the second position but have not tried it. I'm not sure it's a Denso sensor as there is no identification with the word "DENSO" (Second Photo)
To reset the light drive the car, I stopped shut it off 3 times and after the third time the light cleared.

Re: CRV EX 2003 Throws P1166 code
There should be a pcm reflash for that code ......i would do that with conjunction to the o2 sensor...if not it will come back eventually. there is a TSB on it...just need to run the VIN to see if its within the VIN range.. its not a recall
