CR-V problem
Hi all!I need a technical suggestion regarding a problem with 1998 Honda CR-V,4WD,Auto,4 cyl. When drive the car ,steering pulls due to slipping differential and there is noise particularly on turning.I had a mechanic look at it who said it was the differential slipping and not the gearbox. My question is:What does that means? Is it possible to disconnect the front axcels, and keep driving as a RWD?Thank's in advance for paying attention,George.

Re: CR-V problem (Decatur)
I'm not sure if I follow you.
Is it possible the noise is a bad cv joint ?
You wouldn't be able to disengage the front axles since it's full time front wheel drive.

In a Junkyard near you.
as in the rear differential? You need to change the fluid in it with Honda "Dual Pump" fluid. That will eliminate the noise. This is a very common maintenance issue.
It can not be driven as a RWD due to it's configuration.
