2006 odyssey won't start
all lights work, dash lights work, headlights work and don't dim when ignition switch is turned to start and no starter activity at all. The wife drove it maybe 50 miles thru the day then stopped at the Lowes . came out and nothing. would the starter or solenoid be suspect or is there a fuse to check that would affect this?

Re: 2006 odyssey won't start
Its been a few weeks since this was posted, so hopefully you've sorted out the issue. But I had a similar starting issue with my 2006 Odyssey. Here's a thread from The Odyclub site that I posted back in 2010 describing the issue and ultimate solution. Hope its helpful

To make a long story short, the problem in my case was the connection between the ignition key switch wire and the starter solenoid. Read the thread for details.
Good luck!

Re: 2006 odyssey won't start
I had something similar but it turned out to be the ignition switch start contacts failing to make contact. I believe based on other posts here https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-cr-v-element-156/2003-element-w-intermittent-start-problem-2865445/ this may not be unique to the Odyssey and the fix may simply require the addition of a shim (see post by wildwood at above link). Replacing the switch contacts on the end of the ignition assembly drastically improved our starting, but my wife still reports instances where it takes a couple attempts turning the key for the starter to engage. Suspect I'll be pulling the steering wheel once more to add a shim on the new switch...

Re: 2006 odyssey won't start
Having intermittent no-starts on my 2006 Odyssey. I get the "click" at the starter when the key turns, but no start. Battery is fine, and we even tried starting with another car providing extra juice via jumper cables. Battery voltage remained up in the 11 to 12 volt range when just using in-car battery.
I suspect the starter solenoid contacts, the main wear item in any starter. I rebuilt my previous van's (Chrysler) with $5 of parts and the starter was as good as new.
Unfortunately, my Odyssey's starter is a "CME Corporation" starter that appears to have a sealed solenoid assembly...or a least not easy access to the plunger and contacts.
Anybody have experience replacing the plunger and contacts in a CME starter?
