Theft ring in Olympia! Check this out!
OLYMPIA - Police recovered three stripped-down, stolen Hondas and dozens of auto parts in the garage at a residence in the 4500 block of Wiggins Road Southeast after serving a search warrant there Wednesday morning.
Olympia police Cmdr. Tor Bjornstad said police were investigating whether the garage was used as a so-called chop shop, where stolen vehicles were stripped down and their parts sold.
Detectives are looking for the son of the woman who rents the home, and the case is under investigation, Olympia police Lt. Jim Costa said. Bjornstad said police were searching for two additional persons of interest.
Costa said police obtained the search warrant Wednesday morning after learning of suspicious activity at the residence in recent months.
“There’s been a lot of activity at that place,” he said.
Cars going in and out of the residence at odd hours were a red flag for police, he said.
The Hondas found in the garage had been stolen in Puyallup, Olympia and Tumwater, he said. The thefts date back as early as October, he added. A retired State Patrol trooper assisted Olympia police at the scene Wednesday in identifying possibly stolen auto parts found in the garage, Costa said.
Costa said the recovered stolen vehicles and parts might help clear a large number of stolen-vehicle reports from the Olympia area over the past year.

Awesome. Maybe these are the *********** that tried breaking into my car on Monday night. All I found was a half broken key in my lock. But I wouldn't point fingers at them since they had multiple cars in their garage and failed at simple lock bumping.

Justin, same thing happened to my friend's Integra. Old key was used to try to start the car, but it broke off in the ignition and the car got left in the road. This was just after Thanksgiving.

Ya I'm just going to park it for the winter anyways. I blew it up and people keep silly stringing it too. Let alone trying to steal the god damn thing.

So true. For my law class I had to go couple of times to court, and surprised me how in like 80% of all the cases, like 10 or 12 of them, the judge gave the guilty either the most minimum sentence or very close to it.
Also another thing I noticed is that if the crime is not too big, first time offenders can go on probation for a year and still be allowed to walk around free on the streets, unless they mess up again.

Sucks. We're not the voters anyone cares about though.

They never found the people who stole my whole damn car back in 2005 as far as I can tell. Nor have I see any proof that the guy I knew who had his stock ITR stolen, stripped, cut into pieces and left down I-5, that the people who took his car were ever caught.
Break-ins are small potatoes.

Wasn't that a black R? I believe an 01, high milage? I ask because when my brother had his R a few years back we heard about this. Scared the hell out of both of us. His was eventually taken, however, but it's always sad to hear another Honda go If that was the right R I was thinking of, it was taken at the mall here in Olympia within 15minutes of him being in the mall with his girlfriend. Walked out and it was gone.

I'm glad I bought a lift in my garage.
My R sits high up with wheels off. Nobody is able to lower the car with my key.
Further details would reveal my identity.
