Portland, OR: shop and requirment registration

I'm looking for a trustworthy performance shop that knows there B motors, in the Beaverton / Hillsboro area that I can really trust.

I need to know what is the requirement for a modified vehicle to transfer the title/registration over to the state of Oregon. I'm the original owner and giving it to my nephew.

When I moved here from California my car was catless with full exhaust and tuned on flash pro. With the obd2 vehicles they just hook up there scanner to the obd port. If you have a scan tool available you can see if this vehicle would pass a readiness test, which is what they test for. If it's obd1 they will most likely see if it has a cat and hook it up to the tail pipe sniffer. I hope this might help somewhat.

There's nothing special needed to be done. If you're OBD1 you get the sniffer test, if you're OBD2 they plug and scan. Pass those, you'll get your DEQ certification and you just go to DMV and transfer the title over to whoever you wanna. I looked into registering an out of state vehicle because I was gonna buy a Washington car (but I didn't), after the titling fees, DEQ fees, plate fees, etc the total was like 300 bucks. Numbers might be off but just a heads up.

It's OBD2 converted to OBD1 LS/VTEC but the real tricky question it has a JDM P30 AT ECU on a JDM SIR-G Automatic Trans. I gess I have to stick the OBD2 ECU back and adjust the fuel/air ratio before I take it in.

I guess the SMOG is the state inspection?

Thanks.
