i think he is talking about brian crower, and crower does sell pistons but they are srp. my setup is skunk 2 stage 2 cams, skunk 2 ti-retainers, skunk 2 dual valve springs, skunk 2 cam gears. i need a new fuel pump because the 255 i'm running the tabs were broken on it so i had to zip tie the filter on, don't think I have the stock one anymore. yeah i was just starting out at rebuilding my motor since the compression on it was only 150 across all cylinders and when I got it, it was 230 so it's just a little tired.

I would see how much one of the shops would charge you, I know when i did my Viatar build Speedfactory took my block to Buds machine shop and the hot tanked it decked and some other **** and it was hella cheap maybe rite at 2 grand or around that price and that included new gaskets and a new water pump too. but wit 2800 it shoud be plenty of enough money to do what u want done.

fluid was going to charge me 2200 to rebuild with all new gaskets and ctr pistons, but i know i can rebuild the motor myself, for cheaper and get more parts, the only thing holding me back is machine work, i guess i just have to call a machine shop up and ask..... but yeah, reaction i thought about boosting it but on a stock 11:0:1 comp motor, i wouldn't be able to run as much boost as i would want! don't really have any goals for the motor, maybe 200 all- motor, but i do want to run mid to low 13's.. i know the header i just purchased will help free up alot from the comptech one i was using that was choking at the 2.25" collector. maybe i will just stock rebuild the block, bigger throttle body, and more suspension work, since i'm lacking in that department!!

i guarantee you can make alot more then 200whp with a little boost even on the stock motor...if you are rebuilding it then toss some forged internals in it...with the money you have plus money you can get by selling the header you could be alot faster...call buds for machine work, they do good work...i always have them do my stuff...its really not as expensive as you may think

you figure though if i'm going to boost there is alot more involved then just forged internals, i would need a manifold turbo wastegate, bigger injectors, oil feed/return lines, intercooler, and piping, bov, etc.. i mean you know, which would cost way more than what i have..... not trying to have a crazy fast car, just something respectable, lol.. yeah i'll call bud's today and see if he can give me an estimate, where is he located, tacoma?

ahh if ya shop around you can find deals for that stuff...im just a boost ***** lol...i have had a couple mildly built na setups though, never really impressed me for the cost involved...yea buds is located on s tacoma way across from where fastlane was...253-588-2837 or 253-588-9926 are their numbers

I take all my stuff over to Hawthorne Machine downtown oly. I can't think of the road name but it's on the same road that Skateland is on. Just a little before Skateland. I took my SAAB head to them when I blew the headgasket and they pressure checked it, milled it .0010 (ten thousandth) and put all new valve stem seals in for me and had it back the same day All for a low price of $100 lol

mike at hawthorn is a legit dood i have do all my milling/and had him assemble a head for me a while back. i have takeing 5 of my engines up to buds and had him and bill bore do the bore and hone on them, also polish the crank. always a good choice.

then you car have steve (reactiondc2) build it and you have a nice motor on your hands.
