car got broken into almost stolen at my friends apartment was there about 2 hours got there about 11:45 pm and went to leave at 1:45 pm came out my car wasnt parked where i parked it so i walked up closer and notice it was kinda up the hill towards the the exit and i walked closer to it the lights were on on the dash where u turn the key half way walked towards it more the window visor was broken window was poped out of placed and went inside the ingiton coloumn was broken. good thing they didnt take the whole car probably when me and my girlfriend came out of the apartment started talking scared them off atleast two people had to push the car up. they didnt want to start it cus it was too loud it was my first time there too. made a police report police came and called insurnace made and claim. hopefully insurnace fix everything since i got full coverage with comprenhives and this was out in troutdale. i should of tooken out my steer wheel.. now everytime/ everywhere i go imma take it with me and if its to my friends for a bit.

alarm? the steering wheel being removed helps from it being stolen, the alarm will go off if they pull the window off it's track. good alarms will go off with the pressure of pulling it off it's rail. I had to break into my own car once cause I locked the keys inside and I realized how much pressure you actually have to put on the window. Most alarms don't come with it, but you can buy a window pressure sensor and put them on the side windows. they range in price from about 25-50 bucks, and get wired into the whole system. They really help with honda's being easily stolen by popping the windows off track. Something to look into

good thing they did not get off with it, looks to me like they did not no what they were doing, when mine was recovered it had no signs of damage to key holes

thats when i just got home i took out my steering wheel and no alaram either i need one though i didnt think i needed to take my steering wheel off since i was at my friends for a bit but now i know to take it everywehre i go even for just a bit. and insurance gonna fix everything all i gotta do is pay 100 decutiable

well that's good. atleast they didn't make off with your car. I'd get an alarm, it's just better to have your investment fully protected. I have kill switches and even if I'm just running into the bank for 5 minutes is broad day light I turn them on. you can never be too cautious.

im going to now i have a kill switch to but i didnt turn it on might as well take my steering wheel everywhere i go to just to make sure im just glad they didnt make away with my whole car

When I had my 99 si I had an alarm, kill switch and left my steering wheel club on everywhere. You can never be too safe; but it will buy u some time.

If any thief really wanted it that bad; most thieves will just tow it or do some crazy sh*t to get it.

that sucks man.. my friends car just got stolen the other day luckly the police had found the guy an hour later..the car was found in lynwood. so that 3 hrs away...charges weere pressed.

You needa invest in a clutch lock, brake lock, kill switches, and alarm.


If you really don't want your car stolen, it's worth every penny. Hell even get a wheel lock like the one's cops put on cars in the town.


i thought every honda owner should know to protect their cars by now... its 2011, not the early 90s .......

next thing imma do is an alaram. insuraced paid for all the damages though all i had to do was pay 100 decutiable it was 600 dollars worth of damaged

Yea honestly its a little ridiculous I dont even daily my car any more......spent $18K on a daily and park it out side to keep the $4K civic safe in the garage

if you get an alarm recolcate the battery or hook it up to a diffrent battery because they pop your hood then the battery and your alarm does no good.relocate to the trunk or something but get it done right so it works lol

honda dealership said they aint going to be able to get the parts in till monday so now i gotta drive my car like this untill then i park it in my back yard right in front of my bedroom wndow though. i needa clean up the garage so i can park in there soon
