Re: b16 or gsr swap
Why would you even compare if you have the choice between a gsr and a b16? Haha...gsr ftw for sure...Just make sure you do your homework before going and buying the first gsr that comes across your path.

Cause when h22's tank, there is no saving them!
And i am pretty sure not everyone can just drop everything and do a k24..haha...Though I wouldnt mind doing one myself...Maybe by next HT meet...

Re: b16 or gsr swap
Of the two, GSR for sure. My own choice would differ a bit, though, and here's why:
If it's your first build, I'd avoid VTEC for now for the sake of simplicity. If not, disregard the rest of the post (or read it anyway to find out what and why I'm building).
I'm on my first build and I'm just doing LS turbo. Not gonna mess with VTEC yet because it's one more thing that can break, though unlikely, and it's gonna be my daily driver. I guess the fact that there's already a mostly stock B18B1 motor in my Civic kinda influenced my decision to build another of the exact same motor as well It'll be mostly plug and play because of this. If I want to go VTEC in the future then I can put a VTEC head on my LS block. Just gotta tap the oil pan, get the right ECU and wire it up, then get it tuned. I'll probably do VTEC on my next build.
That's just my reasoning behind my own build. Take it as you wish, I just hope that some insight is gained.

Re: b16 or gsr swap
Atmosfear, if you wanna trade me your gsr trans for my b16 let me know. I'm dying for longer gears but don't want to bog it down too much with an LS trans. let me know if you'd be down to trade.
