TW: NY: 96 Civic CX Hatchback EK
Testing Waters, so if you wanna send me offers for three bucks, you prob won't get a reply.
Location: 10954 NY
I'd be willing to trade ONLY for a 5spd Integra or 98-01 Accord Coupe that's equally stock looking and not riced out.
PICS from this summer::: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...ty/EK%20Civic/
-----------------
Details:
1996 Roma Red Civic CX Hatchback, CLEAN TITLE.
No PS, but it DOES have AC, R-134a was just recently charged, new AC & Alternator belts installed.
Just passed NYS inspection and it is good till Jan 2011.
Engine:
~198K Miles, Stock D16Y7, no CELs, no smoking, no sputtering/hesitation etc, drives like the stock civic that it is.
Recently replaced plugs w/ the last oil change.
Skunk2 Megapower 2.5" exhaust -- quiet. Only put it on cuz the stock exhaust rotted out and this was cheaper.
Tranny:
No grinds, smooth. Clutch seems fine. No sounds from the throwout bearing or anything when clutch pedal is depressed.
Interior:
Radio relocated by the cupholders -- Alpine IPOD radio.
JDM EK3 FULL Interior, I have a del sol driver's seat in there now because I like it more. Buyer has choice of the extra set of del sol seats or not.
Cargo hatch cover..........IS PRESENT!
All *****, buttons, dash lights, etc functional.
Hardwired for a Valentine One radar detector.
Suspension:
Lowered on (quoting previous owner) "JDM Michelin springs" on stock shocks. Shrug. They look like OEM black colored springs to me, but it rides fine, the car doesn't scrape anywhere except the exhaust resonator on giant speed bumps.
Recently Replaced:
Tranny Fluid
Driver's axle
Passenger front caliper + Brand new front pads on both sides
AC Belt
Alternator Belt
Driver's Window Regulator
The "Bad" is only cosmetically
- Slight paint chip / surface rust by the passenger tail light (previous owner didn't tell me about it till I showed up to buy the car)
- Slight rust forming in passenger rear 1/4. I will INCLUDE two replacement metal quarter panels if you want to get rid of the rust. Its not that bad, but it is noticeable. Its because the previous owner didnt pull off the rubber wheel well liner thing and water/salt got trapped in there and crap. :shake head:
- The rest of the body is pretty much clean. There are some dings here and there, but as far as rust goes that's it. Hood seems to be non-OEM (no underhood stickers) but you wouldn't be able to tell if the stickers were there. It lines up fine.
----------------
This is very clean as you can see from under the hood, and other than the small body imperfections on the passenger side, the car is in great shape for near 200k miles. Everything else I see is beat, the engine bay is a rat's nest, and missing Air Conditioning -- which is a necessity for me.
I'm currently using it as a daily....I have a BUNCH of swap parts for it I can include with it (for extra $$ of course)if the buyer is interested....here's the thread for those parts: http://www.hondamarketplace.com/show....php?t=2739400
I'm taking offers i guess... the car comes with 15" steelies(bought new from discounttiredirect.com) and new Yokohoma Guardex snow tires ... The EK3 Interior can be sold off for a pretty penny, and remember you are getting replacement quarter panels for BOTH sides with the car. If you're interested in the swap parts, PM me and we can talk.
