FS/WTT: 1998 Subaru Forester 5-speed
Well it's been almost 6 months since I sold my teg and now after not rollin in a Honda my life seems........lost (kidding mostly). I bought the Forester with the intentions of having a "go to" vehicle for my family and also to have around the house (you never know what type of job you'll have when your a home owner lol) but now I've got a second vehicle for my wifey to roll around in and at the moment I'm finding no practical use for this rig. I'm looking to sell it outright for $3300 as it sits or can finish up my mods for another $200, either way if it will make or break a sale I'll work with you.
For trades I'm looking for a DC/DB/EJ/EG/EH or even a CRV with cash on my part........Pretty flexible lol. Would like something with power steering and cruise. Has to be a 5 speed. As far as swapped or suspension or anything , as long as your looking for a straight trade or close to it I'm not looking to put much cash on top.
Now for some info.......
I have my 1998 Forester L model for sale. I've owned it for appoximately 20k miles and in that time I have gone almost completely through the vehicle. I've had the motor rebuilt, valves replaced, heads milled, new belts, pulley's, tensioners, A/C recharged, Power steering flushed, New Clutch, re-surfaced flywheel, tune up and have been doing the oil changes myself. The body of the Forester is not too great as the prior owner/owners neglected it but it's not that bad either. There's very little rust, which is only around the windshield. Small door dings and surface scratches. The Interior is pretty good, it's needs a cleaning now and will be done prior to the sale as I just have not had time yet to do so. But for the most part, it's always started, never given me any trouble and is a great vehicle for a home owner as I have done many things not possible with my prior cars (civics/integras) that I have been able to do with this.
The "rig" currently has 181,000 on it but its going up everyday as it's my only car at the moment, also the body color is black. Aside from all of the repairs I've done to the vehicle upon ownership. I've also added an STI catback exhaust that has upped the performance but mostly the ovevall fuel economy and also added an Injen Cold air intake as well. Between the 2 mods I average 28.5mpg mixed and have seen a best of 30.2mpg. Not too bad for a 3,040lb vehicle with AWD!! Aside from that I also have a few other parts that will assist in even better fuel economy that I have not installed yet. A velocity stack and new air filter and also some intake manifold spacers and a Throttle body spacer as well.
These items do not have to be included in the sale if not wanted nor does the Intake as I still have the stock intake and axle back section of the exhaust.
It has ABS brakes, P/S, P/W, P/L, A/C, OEM fog lights, OEM tow hitch, Nokian WR tires with great tread left and alloy wheels.
My reason for selling? I drive 45 miles 1 way to work a day and could make do with just a little Civic and that's what I intend to purchase. But would also be interested in a CRV.
On that note, if you have a Honda your looking to get rid of and looking for something with AWD I'm deffinetly all ears lol.
I dont have any pictures of the car yet as I dont have internet at my new home but I'm willing to meet up anytime with serious buyers so they can view and test drive the car.
Thanks,
Nick.

For real? That sucks man, I'm sorry to hear that you've gotta sell her. Honestly if I could sell this Forester I'd buy it back in a heart beat but I've gotta get rid of this rig first!! lol.
Ohh, pm me your address. I found the other set of keys. Still waiting on those injectors though.

I might just try that this time. It depends, if I get into my new job then I will just take off the intake, put the stocker back on, sell off all the parts for cheap and trade it in towards a nice CRV EX with the towing package and call it a day.
If I dont get this new job then I'll ebay this box in a couple weeks!
But thanks for the bump Brian, how's the Teg coming?
