Visiting from SoCal, questions about New York and Manhattan in general
Hey guys...
I am visiting upstate New York after a non stop 48 hour drive from SoCal.
I am going into Manhattan either Friday or Saturday of this next week. I am getting a hotel for Sat and Sunday going to Pacha on Sat night. What would be a good place to stay that wont break my bank? Where should we leave the car? We don't really want to drive around in NY so we want to leave the car somewhere. I mean is there somewhere we can leave the car outside of Manhattan and just taxi into the city and taxi everywhere?
I am sure i will have more questions so il just keep them posting in here.
Thanks in advance guys!

park the car in a overnight garage. preferably not near times square and just taxi it wherever you go. thats the easiest thing to do. As far as finding a place to stay , every hotel in manhattan is going to be expensive.

cheap and NYC dont go together....but most hotels offer overnight parking which would be your best best. I would stay away from taxi service within the citi they tend to rip off tourists, honestly walking and subway is all you need in the city....any hotel in nyc will be pretty nice...just dont book a room at the waldorf or the plaza if your looking for cheaper hotels..haha. good luck and enjoy you trip

It just so happens that Erick Morillo will be at Pacha that weekend celebrating his birthday, so I made sure that his manager got us on the list for Sat night.

Most that i have called don't have parking, and those that do don't guarantee you a parking spot.
Thanks again for the help guys...

Don't bother with a taxi. Save your money and take the subway. Check out hopstop.com to get subway directions. It is a great site with 360 views to help you know where to go.
