Default Summer '08: Danbury, CT - Marcus Dairy Meet

Is this going on?

I've made it two or three years in a row, but could not make it this past summer because I was in Mexico.

Let's start planning early!

1. DxHatchback

Some pictures from the '06 Meet:

reminda me of that freakin kid in the ek who almost killed himself and some helpless lady.
on a side note i heard marcus dairy was bought out and they are not allowing anymore meats over there. from what i heard the next meat will have to be a police- controlled event and that would cost a lot of money. so you would have to pay to get in

That's what I've been hearing from many different sources.

I was not aware of any of this because I was out of the country this past summer.

Looks like this meet is not happening.

for the lazy

Yes, CT riders, there is some truth to the long-circulating rumors that Marcus Dairy Bar in Danbury is closing.

Yes, the legendary Sugar Hill Road gathering spot for Sunday morning riders will shut its doors sometime next spring.

Yes, the brick and glass building that has stood since 1947 will be razed......

"Once that's done, everything on this property gets shut down. We level the property. We start construction on a 94,000-square-foot development. This will consist of five buildings. One of the buildings is scheduled to be a brand new, free-standing Marcus Dairy Bar," said Marcus, who admitted to being "a little concerned" about losing the motorcycle crowd for most of the 2008 riding season.

and if you read it all they look to be putting up a new JUST DAIRY BAR which i dont belive will have enough space to hold a real MEET

sorry to be the bearer of bad news fellas

we should just find a new place. whereever all those bikers go i think would be cool for us too.
the way i see it we might have to pitch in some cash to find a nice spot. how about the place in n.h. under the bridge where they have thier meet?

I'm up for finding a new place, and we can definitely start some funding even if it's only $3-$5.

I would like to make a suggestion,

Link to old post:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=566895

I was disappointed that nobody came........I found this there:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2075297

There is tons of room for us to have a meet for honda-tech, It is a beautiful place with tons and tons of different types of cars. I am sure if I ask Glenn he will have no problem. There is also tons of space for vendors ect. If you guys are interested since we have nowhere else legal and definite to go let me know and I will try to work out some stuff out with him. I don't think there is a better place to have a meet.

hopefully something will get figured out..
i think we had a meet in the Macy's parking lot there..the lot that is closest to the main road and farthest from Macy's and we had no issues with mall security..later on we moved to an adjacent parking lot and had no issues there as well..just a suggestion
