That's a nice shot. I will be going out into the Raritan in a few hours!
EDIT: Nevermind. Not going anymore. Getting some big winds from the East.

I go to the finger lakes every summer for vacation. My uncle owns a hundred acres over on Lamoka Lake (about 5-10 mins from Kueka). I love going down into Hammondsport and Watkins Glen. Lots of good fishing throughout the finger lakes. Pickerel out the wazoo in Lamoka.

Last winter I was surprised to pull this Northern Pike out of the Susquehanna river at a warm water discharge in York PA:
She bled pretty bad but survived, the rear treble hook from my stick bait got caught up in the gill membrane.
also snagged a shad in the side:
Last week I caught a Catty on a rattle trap:
My wifes cousin and I had some luck with smallmouth last fall on the Susquehanna here are two from that day:
But mostly I enjoy ultra light tackle and walk streams near my house:
A little blue gill from that day:

Re: Any HT'ers go fishing? (DeDonDeRosa)
Went out last weekend in Casco Bay (Portland, ME) after bf tuna. Trolled around for a bit, and saw a lot of surface action and birds. We hooked up on a fish, but it did not pull like a tuna. It was consistently pulling out line instead of fast spurts. We were using a Shimano Trevala XXH rod and Avet reel with 80# powerpro. We assumed we had a hooked a giant instead of a fish in the 100-200lb variety which our tackle was more equiped for. I had the drag set at 20# and the fish continued to pull out line. The only time we could get line back on the spool was when we would follow the fish in the boat. After about a half an hour we got the fish to within 150ft, and it came to surface. Expecting a tuna we saw that we had actually hooked a thresher shark that was somewhere in the 500lb range. It was on the surface for probably only 10 secs, then went on another run and disappeared. We fought the shark for another hour but it did not tire at all. Even when we used a rag and our hand to put additional pressure on the drag we could not get any additional line on the spool. Eventually the floro leader wore and we lost the shark, but the fight it self was fun as hell. We put the line back in the water trolled a little more and hooked up to another shark, but this time it was no competition for our tackle. After about 20 mins we pulled this 200lb thresher along the boat! It sucked we didn't land any tuna, but it was still an adventure. I should be going out Friday morning off of Stellwagon and will hopefully have some other pics and stories!

Went out yesterday, but it was sloppy, seas were 4-6, a little too much for the boat we were in. We didn't stay out long, but went 1 for 2. Here is a picture of the 64" bluefin.
