until it happens to you. you'll never understand--it is a bitch to wake up knowing your car is gone, knowing you put 2+ years of hard work both working for the money to buy parts and working on the car to install them, on top of that insurance doesn't cover sentimental value. when you have your car, and it never leaves you anywhere, and it gets you home even on a night where you're 50miles away with no oil in the crankcase, you'll know that you love that car.
insurance doesn't cover anything more than prices of the parts (with receipts provided) and the fair market value of the car. so no, that is not what insurance is for.

insurance doesnt always cover modifications, even if you have the receipt... and what about people who dont see , or even cant afford, spending $1500-2k/year to insure a car thats only worth $3-4k?
either way it doesnt matter. if something that you have worked hard for is taken from you, it sucks... you feel violated. so it shouldn't be acceptable

so tai, if my car gets stolen. im ****ed. my life will be hard as **** to come back into. maybe thats my fault for putting what i have into my passion, into my love, or maybe its the thieves fault for not keeping their hands to themselves. but tell me right now, what do you love, what is your passion? think about it really hard. think about all the good times you had with it. . .
now think about it being harmed or stolen.

I do not like their tactics, I feel that it is classless. I was raised better, and I have a lot more morals then I'd let be known, so I will continue to feel the way I do and mutually respect the way you feel for them.
hopefully when a situation arises where you can test their legitimacy, they prove to you to be as stand up as you'd like everyone in this thread to believe.
with that being said, I think the conversation on this topic is done. anyone who has anything else to add, ask or insinuate can PM me and we can talk about it intellectually, I mean this in the most humble & honorable way possible. I am not an *******, I do not think of anyone maliciously in this thread, but as I said--I'm an opinionated person, and my first impression is (both give & take) the lasting one.
