We are coming to Chicago for our second stop on the WEKFEST Tour 2011 presented by WEKSOS and FATLACE!

Come experience what is arguably the best car culture event in the U.S. The finest builds from all over the midwest will be on display. We are not like the big corporate shows of the past, each car is carefully handpicked. With WEKFEST we want to make sure that car culture is properly represented through the cars we showcase, event production, and taking care of our community. By maintaining a high level of integrity we are showing the world that it is not “just a car” and WEKFEST is not just a show.

Most definitely @ slvrlude!!,

We're expected to have a huge turnout like we did in LA Long Beach. This is our first time in Chicago and we want to make it count.

But on top of the Wekfest madness in Chicago there's more.....we're holding a pre-meet before Wekfest Chicago July15th on Friday.

How is the registration coming? I hear there are 500 spots available but doubt there are 500 quality cars in/around Chicago. Where's the furthest confirmed car coming from?

Most definetly @ h-duced!! We're trying to make the city of cubs our go-to place for Wekfest Tour every year. Lets make it happen!!

To answer your question, since I last heard from the guys up, we're at 200 plus cars and counting. By now, I'm sure there's more but I don't know the exact number. As far as the quality of cars, there some exceptional cars from the pre-meet held by Fizz Autosports and Cannibeat.

i was very dissapointed. i wish me and my boys could have entered the show but it filled up fast. there was so much wheelgap it made me sick. the wannabe "vip" cars were freaking gay. 50% of the cars there had fitment. maybe the midwest just sucks but i rolled from kzoo mi with 5 daily driven cars that made 50% of the cars in show look like 4x4's.

lots of the cars in the parking areas were much nicer than in the show. dont get me wrong, i love getting to see nice fitment in person but i was dissapointed with the quality of the in-show as a large. music was terrible too. hope you guys come back next year and we can get inside to show. keep the guidelines to get in more strict. socal shows have some amazing cars, so i may have just been expectiing more than what the midwest has to offer.

may also be a good idea to not enter stock height bugeye subaru imprezas with no mods in the show? lol

No offense, but what makes you think that you have the only opinion that matters? Not everyone out there is interested in being "hellaflush" or "stanced" or "insert whatever trendy name you like". I agree that the music got out of hand (echoing and too loud), but I wouldn't say that cars were "gay" (didn't know cars had a sexual preference). Keep in mind that this was the first WekFest in the Chicago area. Give it time to build a reputation before you just harp on it for no apparent reason.

my dodge was in the parking lot with the extra large wheel gap. next time, you and your boys just need to register earlier. and yes, the music and sound sucked.

I was glad to see some track cars in the pictures I saw. At least people got to show off some cars that don't handle worse than stock.
