Hey guys, seeing as crxfornow is currently deployed and unable to arrange the Starved Rock meet for this year, it seems that I will be trying to get it all squared away.

Personally, I would like to try to hold the meet at Matthiessen State Park nearby instead of at Starved Rock to try to keep any hassling from the local PD to a minimum. We were at Matthiessen 3 years ago iirc and were left alone for the most part, and did not get in the way with the locals or park visitors....this specific lot is nowhere near as busy. Let me know what you guys think.

Also, as for a date, I am thinking either Sunday Nov 6th or the following week Sunday Nov 13th. Let me know what you guys think. I am not able to do it in October due to some school obligations around that time.

Give me some feedback on date and location so I can get the ball rolling. Thanks all.

last year it was on a Sunday...after a quick look every other year was on a Saturday. It doesn't make any difference to me as long as its a weekend in November. Just looking for input.

I'm game for either, saturday or sunday.

And that new (old) park sounds good as well. There were a bunch of tourist that kind of got in the way and split up the meet at Starved Rock. Would be nice to have everyone together and have it more organized.

Sounds like Saturday is better for most, no? How about the 6th or the 12th? any preference?

The J will be running one way or the other. If it comes down to it, I'll rip the hood off and buy a shitload of carb clean and have Jeff sit on the shocktower spraying it in while I drive down. lol

Im down for a Saturday. Looking back at my pictures, this is the meet where we had to park on the small road and walk a few hundred feet from a group of cars to another group of cars correct?

yea, thats the only downside...but we had much less issues with cops hassling and being in the way of locals. im open for other suggestions however

Im down with that place. Just was wondering if I was correct on the location. Excited to get a meet going, because I havent been able to attend any other than Import Alliance Summer. Hope it goes through.

damn...i haven't been to the starved rock cruise/meet since i sold my dc5.

maybe i'll attend in my lady's FG or i'll just bring the Z. lol

anyways...im down for this if the weather permits!
