My wife was involved in a hit and run accident on SB I-94 near IL-route 120 (Belvidere) two weeks ago around 5:40 a.m. She was driving in the fast lane and got hit by another car from the right side. She lost control and hit a concrete median, but walked away without serious injuries. Afterward, she saw this car with wisconsin license plate 418GHS or 481GHS (gray compact suv or crossover) behind her and slowly taking off with some grinding noises (possibly from the impact). A white caucasian with beard around age 40 was driving the vehicle at the time according to her. She gave all information to police, but nothing so far.

If he is not the suspect, he could be a potential witness for us. I should have posted this earlier, but was relying on police. It seems like they are not fully investigating this matter.
