just my two cents

One6 < Will tell you a turbo install is 800 dollars. then 1500 then you get a bill for almost 2000 dollars and you have it pay it all before you can take the car home and the fact that it took twice as long as he told you makes it just all that much more....

Whip Factory < The best

Suja1 < does some nice work

RC auto works < Did a nice job supercharging my sisters 350Z. just took a while

Sound and performance < Over priced and over rated

Strictly modified < good with DSMs

Devo tunning < Good with any thing. founder of AMS

Gt motoring < greg is a cool guy

topspeed < Havnt seen enough to make up my mind

AMS < over priced over rated... I wouldnt let them tune my lawn mower.

Has anybody heard of Speed Quest performance? Any opinions on them either positive or negative.

If you're willing to drive a couple hours, hit up King Motorsports in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Great quality work.

According to the Factory 5 website they are no longer in business.

The site recommends to try a place called Pro Function Auto in the SW suburbs.

Has anyone heard of them?

What do you mean by tuned? Are you talking about tuning a programmable ECU or are you looking for a place with good service and parts?

Tuning Hondata, Dyno, Service and Parts:
King Motorsports -> http://www.kingmotorsports.com

Tuning Crome, Dyno, Service and Parts:
APG Performance -> http://www.apgperformance.com

Service and Parts:
One 6 Motorsports
Pro Function (previously Factory 5 Motoring)
Top Setup

LOL WOW. Quoted for amusement when i link this to others. So much misinformation and uneducated assumptions in this post. thanks for the laugh.

My personal recommendation is profunction. They have the most accurate dyno in the Chicagoland area (Dyno Dynamics) and Mikey is among the best tuners in the Chicagoland area.

"your two cents" =/= "how it is". here's "my two cents" in bold.

Mark is a great guy.

Whip Factory < The best ...until they went private and no longer will touch your car unless you're building an all-out racecar. Plus Suprdave moved to Florida.

Suja1 < does some nice work nothing to say here.

RC auto works < Did a nice job supercharging my sisters 350Z. just took a while i've heard mixed things about bob as a person, but as a business i hear nothing but the best things about their work.

Sound and performance < Over priced and over rated They're a supra shop. of course they're going to be expensive.

Strictly modified < good with DSMs heard the same.

Devo tunning < Good with any thing. founder of AMS Correction: one of the founding mechanics at AMS. NOT the founder.

Gt motoring < greg is a cool guy yup.

topspeed < Havnt seen enough to make up my mind used to be a bigtime rice shop, not sure if they still are or if they even tune in-house but i hear that they're nice people.

AMS < over priced over rated... I wouldnt let them tune my lawn mower. are you kidding? they produced the first EVO VIII to break 1000whp, as well as an army of customers' 1000whp EVOs and they currently own the most powerful and world's quickest EVO VIII. Who else around here can say that they have the WORLD'S QUICKEST ___any car____?? Plus their time attack car is consistently taking victories, which is extremely good for it being their 2nd year doing time attack. Your comment makes absolutely no sense unless you're talking about a different AMS.

Rcautoworks gets a big

they did the swap in my car and it runs flawless

and built my turbo manifold/downpipe + IC piping for a very good price. and very high quality and fitment is spot on

bob is a good guy and will try to help you in any way possible.

if you are looking to get your car tuned then Mikey is your guy. If you are looking for a "tuner" shop then RCautoworks is your shop.

Cornbred are good people to street tune with for a reasonable price,

As far as Shops go I been going to Rc autoworks for quite a while, when he was working out of his garage. Bobs a great guy, great customer service. Brandon & bob do quality work for a real affordable price. I've gotten a manifold, downpipe, and a couple other things from them. Nothing but good things, other then there slow sometimes but thats only because theres two people that do work, they get alot of cars in there, thats why the wait time is a little long. ratio, 2:16 2 people, 16 cars.

Majority of the cars that go there need alot of work that has to be done to them.

As far as parts go, Mark @ one six always has stuff in stock, but if you dont mind waiting for your parts. Order them online...

I haven't delt with any other tuners in the Chicago land area, but i heard nothing but good things about Mikey at Fact5.
