Anyone up for engine swap on 98 Civic
 
Hi guys. I`ve decided to do an engine swap on my Civic and I read a thread from like 6 years ago there was a lot of people wanting to help a guy like me for a swap and a barbeque ;) If anyone is up for a little cash that will be great. I am a noob so I will need a lot of help pickin the right stuff for me. Reply if you are interested. :P

Great man thanks... thats probably gonna be next month when I quit my job and I will have more time :lol I will do some research for now and any help is welcome. I wanna get an engine that I cal put turbo and a blow off valve. I wanna go all the way ;)

well for boost ur best bet is to get a low compression motor

Like I said.. im a noob so dont laugh a lot ;) I`ve always wanted to do that but did`t have the money and now with my new job that`s not a problem. The problem is that I dont know a lot about this thats why I need help ;)

I can help, I recently swapped a b series into my 98 EX. I know these EK's inside out.

I would recommend getting a B18B1 for a motor if your looking to boost. They're non vtec, and don't make as much power as a lot of the other b series motors, but they're cheap and easy to find parts for at junkyards. And if you plan on doing any tuning or engine management, try to find a 94-95 motor, they're OBD1, so most tuning systems are compatible with them.
