Hey everybody! well i have been going back and forth on weather to do a k20 swap or boost my d17 and i think i want to just boost my car! my goal is 350-400whp. i have a 4 dr dx so no vtec. my budget is about $7500. can anyone give me some advice on how i can make this power or tell me where a good shop to go to around central jersey for this type of build! any help would be great!!!

You you trying to build the motor at all? Or just build a nice kit and get it tuned?

well i have been looking at the dezod alpha dog d17 kit which comes with the engine internals, aem ems, and all major parts that it seems like i would need. i know ill need to get an ajustable cam gear, 3" turbo back exhaust, lighter flywheel, and better clutch, but what else would i need to get to my goal? i heard something about our intake manifolds being weak and not being able to support the hp..is that true? also since i would be doing a 3" exhaust would i have to change the intercooler pipeing to 3" or would 2.5" be good? i want to swap my head for a vtec one but im not sure i will be able to budget it in right now. i have 7,500 for the build and another thousand for the installation and tuning!
