2009 University of Maryland Spring Meet
hosted by College Park Tuning

We will be asking for 1(or more) non-perishable food item per person as they enter the lot. If you forget to bring an item or prefer not to, we will collect a $1 donation on your way into the lot. All the donations collected from admission, food sales and the 50/50 raffle are going to be donated to Martha’s Table (http://www.marthastable.org).

Ok, Here's a question. What if we have things we would like to sell. Would you be against us bringing parts for like a swap meet type of thing? I know this could turn into a mess but just asking because I know there are a lot of us locals trying to put together new builds and fund it through selling old parts.

Yes I know but like right out of or next to/in front of your car.
Just a suggestion. I mean this isn't an HT only meet I know but I mean look at the Mid-Atlantic FS thread. I'm sure it could spice things up if those ppl were allowed to bring misc parts and sell them in person.

speaking for CPT, you are not allowd (by campus rules) to sell any products on campus without permission from University. Registered venders can promote products, show products, sign people up for stuff, but cannot physically take sale of any item at the meet. The only purchases made are through the club's food and beverage services, and dyno pulls. That is the extent of sales on campus permitted by the University.

Now, if you have happen to meet someone at the meet that sees a part in your car and says "hey i'll pay XX for it now..." and you sell it to him, great! make the money. But take note that this is a car meet for charity and not your garage yard sale. Lets just make that clear. If we see people trying to sell products in open, we will end your little yard sale. "For-sale" signs on cars is different. Bringing a table to sell car parts? No go. Capiche?

No problem! this meet should be freaking sweeeet. Already took off work. It's on a sunday so if you work on weekends, mark your calenders and request off.

Yes it will be an always have. Although I must say, the company running the dyno seemed a bit sketch last year. If I remember right they almost drove more then 1 car off the dyno, a Z and something else. It was also hot out that day and they were dynoing cars with no fan for air circulation for the car..........

ha true... we had two dynos crews there. One of them were definitely not great. If they don't upgrade equipment, they are not coming back.

I mean I'm in Columbia right off 100 and 95..... You all could come 695 to 70 to 100 and meet us somewhere around there?
Or maybe just off 95
