where did you get that cap from? Did it fit exactly or did you have to do something to make it fit?

looks like your headlights could use some wet sanding..

here is my dads headlight before we fixed it..

after

all we did was wetsand with 1000 grit, then high speed buff w/ meguiars wax.

its a combination of the stock piece and a Hyundai Sonata cap epoxied together. The OEM rubber seal is kept to maintain the seal of the housing.
This HID is beign put for me by Jared.

Aren't Tacoma headlights glass?

Is this what I should do:

- leave 1000 grit sandpapeer in water for 10mins
- wetsand the headlight
- use meguiar's plastix polish or gold class polish.

Should I be good?

Leave the sandpaper in water for 10 minutes? Never heard of doing that. The purpose of the water in wetsanding is just to wash away the material removed by the sandpaper, and to keep sandpaper clean while sanding (keeps the grit from getting clogged up w/ removed material).

And I would follow 1000 with like 1200, then 1500, then 2000 grit.

wetsanding your headlights is not a good idea. i don't know about other companies, but honda/acura has treated headlights and when you wetsand, you remove the chemical. in a couple of months, your headlights will turn ugly yellow. its been done with the honda prelude headlights and the guys headlights turned into shti.

hmm yeahhhh guess Integra headlights aren't treated, whatever that's for. I have wetsanded my headlights several times and they have never turned yellow.
