TSX projectors are going in the range of about 200-220 dollars. They aren't that difficult to find.

HID Projectors uses D2S. Reflected HID uses D2R. Most ballast will work with both bulbs. No custom wiring is needed.

I told my dad to keep an eye out for headlight housing that uses HID projectors. They throw this crap away all the time at his work.

edit: I just kinda made my ballst splash proof:

Also made a wiring harness. I'm pretty much all set.

Nice work 95cxhatch. That looks like a clean finished product you got there.

i opted for the e55 bixenon and that solenoid made it a PITA. projector or not, getting the rotation horizontal is another PITA.

The solenoid should not be a problem at all. It's all mounted in front of the mounting flange, and if you mount the projector on the front of the bracket, everything stays in front of the bracket.

For the rotation, I just lined up the top edge of the projector with the top edge of the headlight bracket.

Ehh...Our E55's are alright....We are losing alot of light through our stock lenses, because they are not perfectly clear like the OEM e55 headlight lenses....remember that comparison thatw as posted with the projector alone? it looked awsome!

fawk.. i just spent hours trying to figure out how to make my highs work with my lows, but also make the high (pass) work without the lows.

I guess i'm stuck with the highs working with low and low working with high pass.

info: high pass is when you flash other drivers with your highs.

POS H4 wiring.

ya i wanted to keep the stock bezel ring so i left the long mounting holes and mounted mine from behind.

lining mine up with the bracket simply does not make it straight for some reason. im counterclockwise about 1-2degrees on the bracket.

i want mine to be as straight as his damnit!

you're right, the high contrast is not the best thing for human vision. it hinders not only the driver's eyes, but also the response time of opposing traffic. with a less clear cover, it fades the cutoff and disperses light all around. i guess the best would be to find a compromise.

I wonder, if we used the outer lens cover from those aftermarket "Black Housing Halo" headlights on ebay... The headlights are probably crap, but the outer lens cover is apparently completely clear? Wonder if we could just swap it on... but they probably wouldn't sell just the outer lens.
