HID or quality bulbs?
I am trying to increase my visibility at night with my 5th gen prelude. So far I have made sure that the headlights are aimed correctly, and I have wetsanded/buffed my headlight housing so that it looks brand new.
In order to increase visibility i believe I have only three choices 1) Get brighter bulbs, a quality bulb such as the Osram Nightbreaker 2) Get a PnP HID kit such as the DDM Tuning one 3) Do a full retrofit actually there is another 4) Fogs I need help choosing between 1) and 2), as right now I won't be getting fog lights, and I cannot afford a retrofit at the moment (i believe that is over 400 bucks easily). I know that many PnP HID kits are not ideal, but some have experienced greater visibility even in stock headlight housings over halogens. I have noticed that even with stock halogens in the headlight housing there is some glare. So the question is this. Do I go with quality bulbs, or do I go with a PnP HID kit for the greatest visibility. Obviously a retrofit would be ideal, but that is not happening, at least not now. |

a full retro-fit is the way too go, but a pnp kit will work good too. just don't go over 6000k

Re: HID or quality bulbs?
I have a 98 lude and ive tried the pnp HID kit. They work a little too good because unless you get retrofitted headlights you will shine the entire place. I blinded people in front of me and on coming traffic and this after adjusting my lights to the best i could get them. The way the lude headlights are shaped you cant really have HIDs without glaring everyone. I say go with the bulbs until you can go retrofit....
