HID install problem

i have a 1997 honda civic DX auto, and i tried installing HID in them. once i installed them none of the HID powered up. i check all the fuses, and plug back the original bulbs and they check out fine. i also tried to plug the HID in my friends 2000 civic and they turned on perfectly. im really clueless at this point. so if anyone knows what could be up pls let me know. thanks
oh yeah it is a plug and play kit.

are you accidently switching the plug on your car? happend to a buddy, put them in mine worked great, his didnt then we found the when he put them in his he switched the plug, red/black etc.

yes the problem was that i accidently switch the plugs around.
problem is solve

so was the red on top and black in the right side? im having a similar problem.

im having the same problem.. i installed them and only one works... i have no idea whats going on?
