HID back to OEM?

maybe the info is out there.. and I just suck at searching ( I DID try ! )
I'm willing to accept it.. so please excuse me if the issue is dumb/beaten to death

Anyway, I just got 97 Civic that came with HID projector headlights. I'm not crazy about the look and just want to get it back to stock.. at least appearance wise with the headlights, the color/brightness I could go either way on..

Anyway though, my question is if it's possible just to plug to same bulbs/sockets into a stock headlight without any compatibility issues..From what I read & picture in my head..that may look a little ghetto..but honestly it'd be a better temporary setup compared to how it looks now.. or if (& how..) I'd be able to un-do the whole HID thing all together and get it back to the stock setup. Perhaps it' dependent on the setup? Please enlighten me !

Re: HID back to OEM?

Is it retrofitted? Your question is kind of confusing, are you planning on changing your headlights? Because if the headlights are retrofitted, which they most likely are, you are still going to have that cutoff no matter what kind of bulb you put in. Pictures would help a lot

First figure out what kind of bulbs it uses...

Re: HID back to OEM?

Edit - Added a picture, I could still snap one of the plug/socket in the back.

There are 3 total bulbs per headlight

and yes, looking back now I see I could have worded that a bit more clearly..
I'd like to swap my headlights back to stock.. but I'm not sure if that compatibility was lost when the retrofit was done. Not sure if I'd have to convert the wiring back to normal or something? I don't know anything about lighting

..Thank You by the way !

those are not retrofitted headlights nor are they hid projectors... those are cheap ebay projectors that are meant for halogen that people just put hids in to because output sucks.. the back of those headlights should have the oem plug so you should just be able to unhook all the hid stuff and put stock headlights and bulbs in..

ahh.. even better!

Thank you for weighing in, and again my apologies for what I now see wasn't the smartest question. Like I said, I know so little about lighting.. I appreciate the help !

those def aren't oem. See if you can get some cheap oem headlights. I now see what you mean by you don't like the look of it.

Re: HID back to OEM?

one more question.. the plug I have pictured, that comes straight from the main harness of wires.. is that what would plug in to the OEM headlights? Is it just as simple as swapping the lights (with correct bulbs) and plugging them into that harness ?

Re: HID back to OEM?

that plug in your fingers in the first picture is the stock plug.. once you put the stock headlights and stock bulbs in, you can just plug it all in..
