Default 92-95 Civic EG- Removing the lense of tail light from its housing

Hi guys,

Inside of the tail lights of my EG are foggy and I'm trying to find a way to seprate the lense from its housing (tail lights are OEM and overally in good condition just the outer ones are foggy from inside).
I have tried the 'heating in the oven' method for the headlights to pop the lense up and it really works, but for the tail lights its a bit scary to break or melt them.
Does anyone have the expriece of a safe way to open the lense of tail lights?
Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Regards

I used the oven/heat gun for an extra pair of 99-00 civic coupe tail lights (the ones that go on the trunk) and it softened the glue up really well, but I managed to crack both lenses. lol

I have done several headlights with no issues, but for some reason these tail lights decided to be a pain. Looking back I should have used some wider prying tools and focused more on lifting the lense small amounts at a time all around it. To make things worse they didn't crack until I nearly had the entire lense off of the housing.

I just did the job with advising of a friend from Instagram.
I used boiling water to heat the glue up, I put the tail lights up side down into a pot of boiling water and waited about 4 mins.
Then I used a screw driver to pop the lense. I was so careful not to break the lense so as I felt the glue is getting hard I put it back into the boiling water to soften it.
all things went allright for the outer tail light:
I succesfully pried out the outer tail light lense
the problem was with the inner tail lights: they seemed to be hard to take apart. I was in doubt to continue the pressure or not till I broke a piece of it and I made my day
broken inner tail light
I really suggest not to try to take apart the inner tail light because its so risky. In case you decided to clean inside of them its better to pour some water and soap in it and shake it and put it somewhere to dry.
I will post pictures as I clean inside of tail lights and put them together.
Especially thanks to my Instagram friend "Leonlambert89" who advised me and made me brave enough to do the procedure

Good luck
