HID Auto Levelling Not Working
Hi all, I hope someone can help me please. Honda S2000 (2000)
I recently got caught out in the dark with my headlights pointing very low to the ground. It seems my auto leveler was not working. On turning the ignition the lights would
come on, move up and down and then go out at startup. On checking the sender unit at the rear left wishbone I found the actuating arm to be bent. I suspect I may have
hit some debry on the road.I stripped the unit down, straightened the adjusting actuating arm and checked the electrical contact at the plug. Also the sender unit which
seemed to rotate smoothly and was without any damage. Still nothing working. Both lights work fine and I have reset the heights manually so that it is derivable in the dark.
Having picked up some info from a Civic forum I made some voltage and continuity tests at the plug connector to the sender unit and got no readings for either voltage or continuity
and think the problem may lie with the control box. Can someone please tell me if the auto leveling is done via the main relay control box or would it be a separate unit altogether?
In anticipation, Chris
