I don't have any experience with this combination specifically... and apparently, neither does anyone else or you would have responses on this thread. LOL
The first question I have for you is WHY ??? There is no advantage to replacing a Z7 shortblock with a Z6 shortblock... you are basically losing 1/2 to 1 full point of compression doing this. The cylinder heads are the same, so why not just drop the Si cams in it, assuming it has light green intake springs and violet exhaust springs in it. Otherwise, change the valvesprings too and save yourself the cost of a head gasket.

i got a free z6 longblock and wanted this motor to be my next build but didnt know if it was worth it. thats why i was wondering.
the motor got hot so im gonna send the head out to be cut and do a gasket on it anyway.. so with a set of si cams and valve springs if needed i should be good. thats cool i didnt know the heads were the same.. so a rbc manifold should fit on this head im assuming??
