Default K20 issues starting (cranking)

98 Civic hatchback
03 rsx k20a3 5 speed
Pre made jumper harness
Running oem ecu for now

Wall of text
prepare I am rather confused at what it could be

Everything is together (minus the charging light wire)
Put key into acc - beeps like normal
Put key to on - dash lights work (including cel light)
Fuel pump works
Try to crank it - click from the starter solenoid
Let the key go back to on - no power at all anywhere, no headlight, no cabin light
Have to cycle the key off and put then put it back
Go into acc - beeps
Go to on - nothing, no more power anywhere
the dash lights will only come on again if I take off the battery cables and reconnect

The clutch starter switch circuit is testing fine and power to the ignition switch is good
No idea if the starter is getting the crank power it needs (no one to crank while I volt meter it) but what gets me is no power after the first try
If you have read this far have a good day lol
Hopefully someone can't have some insight
Thanks

Double check all of your wiring. Also, what is the possibility that the ECU is damaged ??? Have you tried another ECU ??? In theory, even if you did everything right... the car should turn over while trying to start it but never actually run because the ECU has an immobilizer circuit, which requires a matching key and immobilizer ring to make it work properly.

EK's commonly suffer from key switch and main relay problems... power distribution... it cannot hurt to test these.

Switch seems to be working fine.
Ignition relays on clutch starter side tested good.
I've got 4 main relays that worked before engine swap. They all do the same thing.
the immobilizer is from k tuned and wires in correctly (one of the first things I looked at figured I had just messed that up but that tested good)

Now the ecu being messed up has been I'm the back of my mind. It was pulled out working around March. But as with anything electrical it can just decide it no longer wants to work.
im probably going to see if I can go where I got the engine and plug it into something he has in his yard to see if it'll crank

Thanks for the reply
