I'm getting ready to pull my gsr and prep this thing for a K24. I've began the agonizing research part and I'm having trouble understanding the mix and matching compatibility of parts. What I mean is for instance, whatever k24 engine I land on, will the transmission wether it's from the 06 RSX or civic SI mate to the block or am I stuck with running an accord trans?

This question reaches out to the wiring harness and header as well and I guess what I'm looking for is a swap guide that is more up to date. I keep finding information from like 2007 and although im sure not a whole lot is changed, some stuff has and easier ways or more resourceful ones have been found. Apologies in advance of this is painful to read but any source to more up to date info would be great. Thanks.

If you have a K20A/Z or K24A/Z engine, ANY "K" series transmission from a vehicle in which any of the previously mentioned engines come standard will bolt to it. Pay close attention to what the engine mount kit requires for your application... for example, the HASPORT mount kit for a K24 into a 2000-06 Insight requires the use of either an '03-07 Accord 5-Speed or an '04-08 TSX 6-Speed... so anything else doesn't work in the car. In short, remember that just because the transmission bolts to the engine doesn't mean it works in your car.

Wiring is convoluted... there are a LOT of correct answers. It is going to come down to what you want to do and what you want to spend.
