Thanks for the info Nikos, one more question.
The K motor itself is a LEV, but has anyone passed emissions with a kswap yet? computer checks and all?
How about CA ref?

Re: (Vero)
In pretty much all the states other than Ca, it seems like it will pass. I have heard from like Illinois, arizona, texas...
In california, it can pass with 2 ways:
1)You know the ref or he is crooked and he tells you what to do to pass.
2)Go buy the book and replace everything that needs to be replaced in order to meet the requirements. I have one dude on my site that works as a ref in cali and if you go by the book, the list goes on and on... It is possible to pass though. Each time you get a ticket in cali it is like $500 so in the long run it might be worth it. There are a few shops that are trying to provide a service where you give them your K car, and they install whatver it is needed for it to pass. After passing they would take it off etc...

I forgot to add.
With hasport mounts, you can make your own axles by combining rsx and gsr axles. ( bseries)
It is pretty straight forward how to do it.
Here's the article

Thats good to know, I thought it would be hard to pass if you didnt have the stock ECU. -- And that it definatly wouldnt pass when OBD2 hooks up and sees the comminication link error.

I will have the beginnings of the website up sometime this coming week. In the mean time, you may contact me with any inquiries at sales@karcepts.com. The shifter mounting kits should be ready to ship around the 20th of this month. They will sell for $175 shipped anywhere domestically. The availability and price on the stainless mounts are still yet to be determined. That information will be available on the website when finalized.
Thanks for the interest!

for the smog part cali is stupid.
I will try to ref my car I will swap in the motor and see if it passes emissions that what matters. I don't see why u have to have everything setup like the rsx
as long as it passes emissions I think you should be able to smog it anywhere..hey it runs cleaner then the D series motor

Yes, a very small amount has to be shaved using the hybrid racing mounts but I think if you tell them in advance you are using power steering they can do it for you.

There are a few reasons why they will not crank. Which pnp harness are you using? Are you using the JDM engine harness? Are you using enough grounds? Is there fuel pressure? What ecu? It could also be a bad starter solenoid.

Here's one for you K master,
Ok, so right now I have an eh2 with a non PS rack and I want to convert to integra power steering so I'll use the teg rack. Will the teg PS rack bolt up to K power steering components? Is any fab work involved in that? And also, do the K power steering components come with the swap?

Most of the time you receive the PS pump with the swap.
The Integra parts will bolt up to your EH2.
You will be able to use your K series pump with custom lines running to your OEM/Integra rack.
You will also need to relocate the reservoir.

Re: (hybrid racing)
if you are using the h series shift assembly can you use that same mounting kit to secure it under the car? What cables would you use?
Excellent info and great write up

The mounting kit is only designed for use with the RSX shifter boxes and cables. If you wanted to use an H-series shifter assembly, your best bet would be to mount the shifter on top of the tunnel without the kit. You would then have to drill a hole in your firewall for the cable routing and you may have to hack up your cup holder area within the console. When using a K-series motor (non-TSX tranny), I would highly recommend just using the RSX shifter box and cables for simpler install, cleaner appearance, and proper function.
