Prototype Intake Manifold & Header Testing on K24 and K20A and more...
Ill start this off with the K24(2381cc) i built a while back... it was one of the motors used in this test... click the thread below for more specifics... basically its a simple build k24
http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76065
1st Graph
TEAL PLOT - Ryan fitted a RSP intake manifold that was modified to a sprinkler setup and some other s***, all other things remained the same from the Hondata IMG on one end and the Acura TL TB on the other. -tuning was done to extract all power-
Fuel - 91 octane
Projected Dynojet output - 298hp, 214tq
ORANGE PLOT - only change was removal of the skunk2 FG2 Header and install of the Prototype Header. -tuning was done to extract all power-
Fuel - 91 octane
Projected Dynojet output - 305.7hp, 216.7tq
2nd Graph
ORANGE PLOT - same as above
BLUE PLOT - Modified RSP Intake Manifold Removed, Prototype Intake Manifold installed. -tuning was done to extract all power-
Fuel - 91 octane
Projected Dynojet output - 328.3hp, 216.9tq
WIDE VIEW
3rd Graph
BLUE PLOT - same as above
TEAL PLOT - fuel changed from 91 octane to MS 109. -tuning was done to extract all power-
Projected Dynojet output - 335.6hp, 220.4tq
4th Graph
ORANGE PLOT - how the car left the shop when it was first built
Fuel - 91 Octane
Actual Dynojet output - 295hp, 213tq
TEAL PLOT - *how the car sits currently* with the Prototype Header and Intake Manifold
Fuel - MS 109
Projected Dynojet output - 335.6hp, 220.4tq
WIDE VIEW
2nd Engine to be discussed is a COMPLETELY stock K20A(1998cc) with approx 27,000 miles on it
only mods are the same Prototype Intake Manifold and Header as above
Projected Dynojet output - 261hp, 179.5tq
ALL tuning was done by me at Church Automotive Testing:dance:...Power Up!
all figures were converted to dynojet numbers for all the Church Dynapack haters... this dyno in 2wd mode reads 7% higher than a dynojet which we already proved on the post listed above, and i will list it below if one missed it:D
http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=76065
remember we drive cars, not dynos, this serves as a informative thread to the masses
for those wondering, more info will flow as the thread progresses...
any questions, any answers...

Re: Prototype Intake Manifold & Header Testing on K24 and K20A and more...
more data, tried the other cams from DC, looks promising for a setup thats meant to rev higher than this one...
ms 109 for the fuel
blue is the test cams from DC
teal is the Stg4's
Projected Dynojet Output 338.7hp, 220.6tq (again this implies and is proven this dyno reads 7% higher than a dynojet)
WIDE
also a teaser pic... mind you this manifold started off as a PRB
also a vid of the last pull of testing, the motor was heat soaked so not the best output, but this is for those that want a vid/see it in action/ hear it

only in Cali (j/k) ...very impressive from a 2.4
the torque is insane. what size t/b opening?

We used the same 78mm 'thin shaft' throttle body on all of those engines, along with one of my 6" to 3.5" velocity stacks on the intake pipe. For normal throttle bodies think of it as an 80mm, because that's what it flows like.
