Help a Newbie understand the K-series please
Ok so I guess I'm an old head at this point but I have never messed with K motors outside of work so because I've been on this forum before I searched and searched and didn't get answers so I'm looking for links or answers. In my possession I have k20a2 , k20z3 and k24a2 or a rsx type s motor, 06+ Civic Si motor , and tsx motor so obviously I plan on using k24a2 block what compression piston is good for pump gas and also obviously I will use the k20a2 cylinder head what cam do I use ??? Please lend your knowledge !!

Re: K seriously
If you are able to get 93 octane pump gas, it is not uncommon to use compression ratios up to 12:1 on K-Series engines with the proper tune. The K24A2 block with the K20A2 cylinder head is a common combination, and if you intend to use camshafts from the various engines that are in your possession, then the best combination to make maximum power would be the Z3 Intake cam and the TSX exhaust cam... and don't forget to keep the K20A2 VTC gear for the Z3 intake cam. If you don't intend to use aftermarket cams in the future, you might consider keeping the compression down around 11:1.
