Nikos-I want to know how you have 2 IPS manifolds and others can't get one?

Marc's talking about the production manifolds that have yet to be released to the public. Nikos is conducting some testing for Ron, and that's why he has 2 of them. Marc, I'm sure more info regarding them will be released soon.

Marc,

the IPS manifolds pictures are the first production pieces from a recent limit yield run. I actually had to buy them from IPS.

Due to the limited amount of manifolds that will be available, not everyone who wants one can get one. Certain criteria has to be met from what I understand. You know, kinda like how porsche only offers certain cars to people that already have a porsche. It is the same concept... but for different reasons.

Corporate espionage is a big realith, especially in the honda market. The owner of BLOX has expressed his interest in copying the manifold for the sake of the budget racers.... Therefore IPS has every right to protect the product from falling in the wrong hands. Recent threads like hitech replica headers and others should be enough to realize that this is a very important concern.

Most people do not care about that... just themselves and their car and how they will go faster no matter what... We do have to see certain things under a collective spectrum because innovation is the driving force behind any industry.

What would ever happen if the edelbrock manifold came out only with 10 pieces? Most likely noone would remember it today...

So these manifolds are going to have to be mass produced and saturate the market to justify IPS taking a chance on releasing them to the general public.

But my guess is that those who need to know, know and those that need one can get one. Most people want it for the wrong reasons anyway.

Hope that answered your question.

I wouldn't say that is entirely correct.

But no need to take this thread in another direction than its original intention.

I like the idea of the 101.6mm crank and am waiting for the outcome . . .

If that is the case I would be more than happy to test one on my car and new motor setup. Nikos send me one to test

Thank you all.

We stil have a few tricks up our sleeve for more power but we are hoping that they will not be needed.

And I thought Eleanor's motor setup was badass. 300whp!

I see no reason this shouldnt make 300 IMO . . .

The major obstacle will be the pump gas, but with a knowledgeable kpro tuner I think that can be overcome.

You have a pretty decent set of parts there and I would be suprised if it didnt exceed the goal . .

101.6 crank huh . . . . . . . .
<- - - - - thinking about this winter's k change over . . .

Good luck nikos. I'm sure that even if it doesnt run 300whp+ that it will still be a monster at the track.

I'll be looking forward to the dyno charts, videos and ETs

Went for a visit to ERL headquarters yesterday

Here's the first ever k24a produced serial 001, x marks the spot..

here's where all the magic happens

Here's my baby

Every ERL shorblock assembled by ERL will come with certificates and medalions

A few of the many CNC machines

Cranks, blocks everywhere

Looked at the top secret DRAG CARTEL project

machine used for rotating assembly balancing

My baby again

metals that will go on the car, maybe even on the firewall or engine itself

Sean from ERL gave me this cool *** t shirt.

Cnc machines finishing up a LS1 block

Every block gets that sticker so that if it ever returns damaged, they will know the max temperature the block reached

So now, the project is one step closer. Once the head arrives in a few weeks, longblock assembly should begin.. The sooner, the better... I cannot wait to drive this thing open header hahahah
