Re: Member Introductions
The day I picked up my 2005 S2k.
Just purchased a 2005 S2k in June 2018. One owner car from North Carolina. Completely stock. I am enjoying it immensely. It is my summer car while I am in Minnesota and will be stored in a heated garage in winter. I hope to learn more about the car and how to improve it without going crazy. I would like to keep it stock-ish.

Good morning all. New member here from sunny California. I have a 2000 base Prelude that's going up for sale. It's been a great car, just ready for a vehicle with four doors again. Thanks and have a great day!

Hello
there, i officially joined the Honda family...i just recently bought a 1998 Honda civic Ek hatchback CX, bone stock and in great mint condition with 230K on the motor D16y7 no oil leaks and runs soo smooth...
My goal is to do slight modifications, no over doin it but yet to keep it simple clean enough... ultimately, i want it to look exactly like this black hatchback in 3 to 5 yrs from today with new glossy black paint job, bronze wheels and swap the d16y7 with another exact low mileage motor

New Member Harleyman.
Hey everyone. I am currently working on my wife's 2006 Accord. The # 2 cylinder blew out the spark plug. I bought a Time-Sert kit to repair the hole without replacing the head. while doing that process I ordered 6 new spark plugs while I'm under the hood. my question is: what is the spark plug requirement for the new plugs?
Thanks...
Thanks...

Obligatory intro post: name's TJ. Have a 2015 Civic Si with 33K on it; looking to get involved in the Civic community in the SF Bay Area. Will try to add photos later, no guarantees... either way, thanks to the moderators for maintaining the forums.

Long time stalker, new member. Actually, I believe I was already a member, but I couldn't come up with the password or even the email. Does anyone actually read Member Introductions? I have had a few Accords. My first Honda was a 88 LXi, bought it used when I graduated from college, what a sweet car, way ahead of its time. Traded it in on a 92 Accord, which I traded for a 99 Civic Si in 2000. I also have a 94 Civic VX, one of the coolest Hondas ever IMHO. Last month I gave that to my son :\.

Re: Member Introductions
Recently got a sweet deal on a '15 Civic SE. Needed something to get to work & that won't make me want to /wrists in Sacramento rush hour.
In the past I've owned a couple of Honda's: '94 Accord slushbox with some bodywork, 96 Civic hatch w/EX interior wiring conversion (power doors, mirrors, windows, etc) that went through several motor swaps (B18B motor/trans swap, B16B motor/trans swap, stupid *** built race motor). Last few years I've been on a bicycle while I was back in school, prior to that I'd been driving a GTI VR6. The coolest part about returning to Honda after all those years is being able to really see the quality/tech improvements. I wasn't sure about CVT's, but Honda built a damn good one... be damned if its not actually fun when you drop it into Sport. The R18 motor is worlds above the old D series single cams. This Civic feels better than the LS swaps from back in the day. The backup/bike lane cameras make my insurance cheap AF, which was a nice surprise. I've never had automatic climate control before, its pretty nice. Overall best daily driver I've ever had, tbh.
I've got one of those dumb warranty things that adults get when they are old & boring, so the motor won't be messed with for the next couple of years.....but that will allow me to focus on the god awful factory suspension. These wheels are cute. They'll make nice spare's. lol

Hey! Just joined. Kinda new to the Honda game, but totally ignorant as I’ve helped build a few. I’m a rotary guy myself, but always loved the 3 gens of 90’s hath backs. So, I recently picked up a 90 EF and a 96 EJ6.
The EF is in OK shape. Needs a few things to drive, but it’s pretty much bone stock.
The EJ6...well that car has been through quite a few owners and is a total pile of ****. So it’s currently the one being worked on and I’ve almost got it stripped down the the bare chassis. I have an IG for it (same username), but I’ll create a thread on the forum for it. It’s getting a J35A4 from my wrecked Odyssey (and the Y7 will go in the EF). But that’s a couple years away. Gotta fix the car first!

Re: Member Introductions
Hi guys,
I just picked up an '06 Accord Sedan, 6-speed manual V6. The motor is about to go (rod knock above 2k RPM). The car was given to me, so I'm planning on swapping in an '04 Acura TL 3.2L V6 (J32A3). Once it's running, I'll switch over to the TL manual ECU and have it reprogrammed for keys. Should be a fun project! I'll post updates in a build thread as I go!

Hello all. This is my official introduction. I'm Chris Blankenship and I'm from Barboursville WV. I drive a 98 civic hatchback, that will soon be parked for a complete rebuild. Sorry no pictures yet I'll save that for my build thread when I start it.

Re: Member Introductions
FINALLY!! I found how to introduce myself here, now let's see what happens next! I've been playing with machinery since about 12 or so, that means 50 years of wrenching on stuff from lawn mowers up to dirt bikes, street bikes and race cars. Go karts, been there, done that with a from the ground up build of a custom chassis and another couple we modified to suit us. Fleet mechanic for SoCalEdison for 15 years, been building manual transmissions since 1978, autos since 1985. Setting up rear axles since 1975.

Re: Member Introductions
Great forum. thanks for keeping it running. lots of good advice and experience. I recently bought a 94 Honda accord station wagon. engine and tran lagging but still cruises and is a blast to drive. its is currently stocked with the f22b1 vtec, I was hoping to find a lower engine end and tranny. will the F23A1 bottom 1/2 out of a 98 accord fit onto the top of f22? also very interested in building a new transmission. are there any special tools required are just some of the posts I will be seeking. I was a jet mech in the corps and been turning wrenches for 30 yrs.

Hello to my fellow car Nuts.. Quick Intro to me, I'm a Serial Car Builder and over the last 20 years have kind of stuck with building Kit Cars and as of late Scratch built FiberGlass tube frame cars...
Why the Honda Tech forum you ask... Well my latest project I need a 6 cylinder Turbo engine to kind of go with the theme of the Original car some what. So after seeing how easy the J Series engine's take to boost
i though it was time to read up and ask as many question as possible on them.... Here's the last version I built for a friend with a GT3 997 motor, but I now building on for myself and I think a 500hp J32 V6 would sound and go better than a N/A GT3 motor....
what do you think ??
