Default H22a euro r swap ek axle issue

Hello I’m new to the forum . So I have a 96 ek with a H22a swap in it euro r . I’ve got eBay innovative solid mounts and yonaka 250hp axles for the ek . I’ve noticed a gap on the passenger side inside where the axle meets the tranny . I was wondering if you can give me any input on to what to do without spending cash or if it’s normal for it to have that gap ? Any input would be appreciated . My first swap ever and I’ve been neck deep into it with no knowledge and just research and can never find a sure answer for anything . So here I am now .

Your car is a US EK correct? I have a JDM EK with a H22a with the same setup, yonaka halfshaft and axles. I got mines in all the way so your's maybe normal as well.

Perhaps if you can take a photo and i can be of assistance.

Yes it’s a us model and No , it wasn’t normal . Upon further inspection in disassembly and assembly , I noticed the snap ring was damaged and prevented the passenger axle from seating correctly . I do not have a current pic but once I get the chance . I’ll take a picture to show the difference from this pic before I compressed the snap ring and what it looks like now and how it’s seated flush against the transmission.

Yes the it is all situated. In the previous post as stated I had to compress the snap ring and tap it in with a mallet . The snap ring was out of round on the axles spindle . I just got the motor started but still dealing with getting all the parts together such as slim radiator and fabrication of the shift cables .
