Has anyone attempted to swap an cvt for a manual transmission on the 2005 (first gen) civic hybrids? My Automatic is about to give up and I really like the car.

Not too many people have invested any time into dabbling with the Hybrid Civic setup, so I think you might be on your own here.

I have successfully swapped that garbage cvt auto for the 5 speed stick in my 2003 honda civic hybrid. Been driving it like that for 2 years now. Works great i did a write up on it on another forum. It is a pita ans you need the whole donor car but its doable and only requires minor drilling and welding of one transmission mount to the frame and the clutch pedal to the firewall mount. The rest is direct bolt up.
