it's a small market, but it may become semi-big. im talking to ground control to convince them to make coilovers. Proparts already makes custom front and rear konis for the car.

Well that depends on the definition of (semi-) big. The 1st Gen Insight has sold a total of about 14,000 vehicles for all years while the Civic has been 200,000 to 340,000 per year since 1985. Even though the Accord has outsold the Civic there are far few people doing performance upgrades to those cars because of the people who buy them. The Insight buyer isn't typically a performance person.
That's not so say that if I don't come up with a really cool mount system I won't make it available. I'd like nothing more than an Insight for daily driving with K-series, AC, ABS and a working dash. I think I know how to make the rear suspension work on that car so I would handle as well as be quick.

also the rear suspension is cake. shocks are already made by koni, springs are made by a company in KS (hopefully gc will come on board) and a racer was able to put a mk4 jetta rear sway bar in the rear beam to really give the insight that more neutral to oversteer aspect it needs. the front brakes are able to be upgraded as well with a willwood kit and integra calipers and rotors as well.
the market should be good, once people are easily able to swap in k20s.
