well i have a 88-91 sohc zc long block laying around and a friend gave me his 92 civic dx . well the civic has a shot motor and i wanted to know if the zc would go in and how hard it would be and what would need to be changed. i tried searching but this seems to be a uncomon swap because it dosent gain much just trying to make a good winter beater for next year. i forgot the dx is a automatic to but that shouldt matter should it? well any thoughts would be most helpfull ,thanks

there is such a thing as second generation ZC's that bolt right into the 5th gens. They also have equal length axles (big plus). Anyways as far as the 1st gen ZC engines, I am not sure. Mounts are different I do know that. What I dont know is whether there is a mount kit for it or a way to get it in there. Also the 1st gen ZC uses cable clutch. U will have to convert to cable clutch for this swap. hasport makes a cable clutch conversion.
