zc questions, not performing as well
i just put a zc in my 89 civic with the si ecu and tranny and it isnt running as good as i hoped it would. i did have a d16a6 in there and it ran as good. it runs smooth and quiet but lacks *****. i had the timing done and tehy set it right for "most hondas" but had never seen a zc before. i read somewhere to set it 16 deg btdc could that be right? please help. i was thinking the ecu is the problem but i don't know. please help. thanks

I like the 88-89 Teg ecu, b/c of the aggressive fuel curve. We put in my friend's 88 CRX HF w/ZC and when the Si ecu is in there if feel's like the engine is starving. So I would say that try to get your hands on a 88-89 Teg ecu and see for yourself or even better try to get a hold of a ZC ecu the only thing is the 112mph governor. http://www.intercrewautosalon.com

Advance your distributor and run premium gas. And the aformentioned teg ecu of course. You should really be able to notice the 25 horsepower upgrade.
