ZC engine into an EF civic hb
Ok, I am in the process of switching in a ZC into my 90 civic hb. I have the complete wiring harness for the engine bay (the one that has the injector resistor box and all injector wiring). The only problem is that since my hb is a std with dpfi, and I am wiring to a mpfi system, then I think that I need some additional wiring from the ecu to the engine bay, I might be wrong though... any thoughts or answers to my question?

Re: ZC engine into an EF civic hb (Katman)
ok smartasses, I have done a ton of searches, and they are all about converting your dx/std harness into one with mpfi like the hf or si. The question I am asking is whether or not I need to do any extra wiring if I already have the si harness for the engine bay..... I have searched and searched but I cant find that answer

Asking for help and then calling people smartasses that are trying to help won't get you anywhere fast. You MUST use a DPFI engine harness and then convert the wiring to MPFI. The Si MPFI harness will not work with the DPFI chassis harness, just try plugging it in and you'll see. Technically you could make it work by changing the chassis side plugs to MPFI and even then you still have to change/add wiring which ends up being more work than the DPFI to MPFI wiring. The only way you could get by with using an MPFI Si harness and not have to change things is if you also use the Si chassis harness....

no one is being a smart ***......this kind of topic has been discussed numerous times. Like stated above, the Si engine harness wont work with the DX/STD car harness and must use the DX engines harness.
