Default YS1 Transmission ... Broken?

I just got my YS1 tranny today and I saw that there was a chunk missing off the bottom of the tranny. I called the guy I bought it off of and he said that it will still work even though there is damage. Should I get my money back or will this tranny still be usable?

it looks like its still useable, but if it were me i would get my money back or replace the bell housing if its a gs-r ys1 and you got it for a good price

i got the tranny for a really good price and they're really hard to find here. will there be any problems with that big gap?
