ys1 and a b18b1 help!!
what's up...my friend just picked up a 94 integra ls ( the complete car ) its from the junk yard for $800....and he has a 93 gsr tranny just sitting at this house...he wants to join the to but isn't the ys1 a cable...and wouldn't it be a hard swap to do..so he has a 00ek hatch and wants to drop the teg motor with the ys11 tranny.. will it work or should he pick up a different trans

Yes, the YS1 is a cable tranny. The HCP EK-18C kit (shown above) will allow you to use the cable transmission in the 96-00 Civic chassis, and actually works rather well.

The mount bolts to the tranny and the bracket to the frame rail. You do need to drill a small hole about 2 inches over from the swivel point on the release arm in order to secure the small block, which cups the slave cylinder, and the "J" bracket holds the slave clyinder in place.

well either way i think his gonna have a hard time with the swap .....a obd2 car with a obd1 engine...i dont think its plug n play plus.....and i don't think thats legal in mass
