Default you guys are going to kill me for this one, but H22a (type-s) or JDM B18c (type-r)

I have a 92 si hatch, I can not decide on which to throw in... I looove the H22a in the accord, but I know that there are disadvantages to the H22a in the civic. My 2 choices that I picked are they type-s H22a or JDM type-r B18c. For less money I can have more power with the h22.

I know the first question asked will be "Is this a drag car or an auto-x car?" Well... a little of both. I do plan on auto-xing 2 or 3 times next season, but I do more expressway driving than anything, and I know that the h22 would pull like a **** on the expressway.

What do you guys say?
edit: also, what do you B18 and h22 eg's run in the 1/4?

Since the God of all Honda engines is the C5, everybody's going to tell you get the R.

I'd pick the Type S over the R...it's everything the R is, but with .4lts more

Both engines in an EG will be solid low 13 second cars...even 12's with some luck.

Either way, you can't lose IMHO. Although if you're building this around Auto-x, go with the B series.

imo i'd go with the B18c5, but if you really don't thing your doing much more than drag i would go with the H22
