Y8 Intake & Exhaust Manifolds on a Y7?
I,ve got left over stuff from my '99 Y8 swap sitting in my garage and I was just about to start dumping it, and I just met a guy with a '98 Civic LX
I have a '99 Y8 AUTO Intake manifold complete with all sensors, throttle body, everything.
I have the Y8s 4-2-1 exhaust.
The guy wants to know if I could throw this stuff on his car.
I told him I'd have to check (with you guys, of course) and for him to come back in a few days....
He has a '98 Y7 w/MANUAL Trans.
Any advantages with the Y8 Intake versus the Y7?
Is it ALL Plug and Play?
Every last piece? (***Notice Auto Y8 Manifold***)
ECU Necessary?
Anything else I should know?
and for the exhaust,
He'll need a new cat? (His is behind the radiator)
O2 sensors?
Anything else?
Thanks guys,
I figured if I could get rid of this stuff, make someone happy, and maybe get a few $$$$ for the whole thing if I install it for him.
But I don't want to go through a lot of trouble/troubleshooting/headbanging on someone elses car for the little bit of $$$ I'm asking, and risk possibly send him on his way with a car throwing codes......
I don't work that way....
Worth the trouble, or no?

Re: Y8 Intake & Exhaust Manifolds on a Y7? (7PSI CRX)
As you can see, I'm not "up to par" on the newer Civics, so if anyone has a link to the '96-'00 Manuals.......
