I have one excatly like that one in the picture. I bought it off of ebay also. Not sure if it the same guy but i had no problems so far. I had it for a year now. The salt here is making a couple of spots on the radiator rust but its not too serious.

Oh man, I just stumbled onto this thread because I was looking for info on that EXACT auction.
Did you buy that radiator? I read through each and every one of that seller's feedback and the buyers seemed to really like it.
And $20 for a dual core? That's nuts. I may just get it.

look bro, in most cases, there's always a reason behind why their sellin cheaps. either its faulty, they used cheap materials, ....do you really want me to keep going? they gotta make their profit somehow, right?

You pay for the name. Case in point - Megan Racing, turbocoolers, xo2,... All good products, but cheap price because they have no name for themselves.

there's gotta be a reason why peeps pay for the name, right? dependability, quality, durability.......... i'd rather pay for the name than risk my money w/ a unknown brand.

I bought one of those rad's for my h22 civic and it was great. The only thing was the size of the outlets for the hoses, they were pretty small compared to the h22 coolant inlets. But good price for a nice radiator.

See? Good quality. I'm going to get one.
Besides, I always take risks with crap on ebay. It's actually no risk - if the product shows up and sucks, you just throw it back up on ebay for some other sap.

I got the civic aluminum 1" thick single core off ebay for 25 plus shipping and it has held up to the mugen 1.3 bar rad. cap and my heavy foot. I used it with a itr piston lsvtec swap.

Thats the one i picked over the one u posted. Its aluminum core and does hold more fluid than the dual core copper one that you showed. ONly difference is this has plastic endtanks and the one you will buy is all metal. The downside to plastic endtanks is that they are more prone to cracks from vibration or bad handling, but do function better than a all metal copper one if installed correctly and should last longer also. I would look into buying the one above rather than the all metal one if i were you, but either one, i dont think you'd go wrong. good luck

Copper > aluminum.
Just compare specific heats - the copper core will disipate heat 2.5x better than the aluminum core.

Copper is not a better conductor of heat dissapation over aluminum. Aluminum is the better conductor. Aluminum is also more rust and corrosion resistant.
I think realistically they are about the same.
The twin core copper with copper endtanks was oem eqiup. for the del sol vtec(b16a).

Uh, no? Didn't you see my last post? Copper has 2.5 times better thermal conductivity than aluminum. The only metal in existence that is a better thermal conductor than copper is silver.
Plus, copper is more than twice as strong as aluminum so the fins can be made thinner.
Copper radiators are just flat out better. However, they are slightly heavier and they don't last as long. But for $20, I'll gladly buy a new one down the road.
