Would it be worth swapping out a B16A2 For an H22?
I am thinking about trading my B16 for an H22. Should I do it? Been really thinking about doing it as of late, but cant make up my mind. What swap is better?

Really....Who is getting the better swap? I have one guy kinda interested in trading me. I think I want the H22. I will have to see if I can get someone serious to trade me.

I think you are going to be hard pressed to find someone to 'trade' you their h22 for your b16.

I would throw up a couple bucks.

i would have traded you if you didnt live so far away. oh and i just sold my h22 swap. going b16. had both. b is just too much fun. with the right mods a b series will keep up with an h. my friend has a b16 hatch with an aebs intake type r header and a chipped ecu, and he was always on my ***. (.2 slower)

I don't mean to be offensive, but the difference between a b16 hatch and an h22 hatch is about a full second in teh 1/4.

you're not being offensive. i was there. i ran 14.02 at 99.77mph(jdm h22a) and he (b16a) ran 14.2 at 98mph. of course this was best of day.
why else do you think i would take out my h22 and buy a b16?

I don't know what to tell you, but that doesn't sound like a stock vs. stock comparison. Every b16 hatch I've seen run does between 14.7 adn 15.2...
most h22 hatches can pull 13.7s no problem.

Re: (DarkKnight1)
im not asking you to tell me something. i will tell you his set up.
93 vx
no a/c
no rear seat or belts
no spare or jack
removed sound deadening
jdm b16a1(lsd)
cable trans
type r header
magnaflow exhaust w no cat
chipped p28 (skunk program)
aebs intake mani
alum flywheel
exedy stage one
spoon vtec controller
my setup at the time
95 cx (heavier than vx)
full interior
a/c on but not functional
dc header
3" exhaust with no cat
prelude s tranny(peg leg)
alum flywheel
clutchmaster stage 3 kevlar
chipped p72
thats pretty much our setups. no gimmicks here. just info. i can drive pretty good, but my boy can get through the gears in a hurry.
now i will tell you when he first got his setup running he had a stock p72 on it. for b16. he could only muster a 14.9. biggest improvement i have ever seen for such a small mod. best we could tell it just overfueled it.
dunno maybe its a factory freak engine.

Well it completely depends on the weight, but yes. I'm telling you, from the local track here, most b16 hatches/crx's run high 14s to low 15s.

or more. I ran a 14.01 with my b16 (170whp) and swapped it for an H22 and ran a 12.93.
The b16 had cams and valvetrain upgrade along with other bolt on's, the h22 just had a few bolt on's.

Re: (PDXHatchback)
Go H22A. When it comes to performance, a B16A just doesn't come close. Especially when it comes to torque. And this is coming from a B-series guy.
